Pro2col are turning 18!
Pro2col were founded in 2004 by Managing Director James Lewis, who spotted a gap in the market for an independent consultancy to support businesses in choosing, implementing and maintaining the best MFT solution.
An idea became a reality and Pro2col was born. Since then, we’ve gone from strength to strength and despite the challenges of the pandemic Pro2col remain strong and are thriving. James said:
“ When I started this company from my bedroom all those years ago, never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d be sitting here celebrating 18 years in business. If you told me back then that we’d be working with the likes of the TalkTalk and Primark I simply wouldn’t have believed you. It’s a testament to the brilliant colleagues and partners we’ve had over the years and the hard work my team puts in every day that we’ve been able to grow and establish ourselves as a leading voice in the world of Managed File Transfer.”
As more organisations became increasingly aware of the need for improved file and data transfer structures that a remote and hybrid model demanded, we’ve become busier than ever. In the last year alone, Pro2col saw a 40% increase in head count.
This drive in recruitment will allow Pro2col to continue to deliver the best service to our customers.
We’re proud of our Dorset roots, and over the years have become an active presence in the Christchurch charity scene. Be it running around in pig costumes or wearing natty Christmas jumpers to raise money for local charities and good causes, we’re always eager to help support local charities.
We also run annual beach cleans and have four internal charity groups working to support different causes.
To mark our 18th birthday, Pro2col have committed to planting a tree for every customer we have worked with, every employee to have worked in the team and one tree for every year in business, That’s a thousand trees in total! James Lewis commented:
“Whilst our customers are now big name multinationals we remain passionate about our local community, town and environment. Dorset is a beautiful place, full of stunning beaches and lots of heritage. Every little bit helps. Here at Pro2col we recycle everything we can, even crisp packets! And have reduced the use of single plastics, buying our essentials from Two Rivers Refill, a zero waste retail shop. It’s our pleasure to reaffirm our commitment to being green with the planting of over 1000 trees.”
Thank you all for being a part of our journey and we look forward to working with you for many years to come.
