Last month, Christchurch was a hub of excitement as local businesses got together for the highly anticipated Christchurch Business Awards Ceremony at Highcliffe Castle Golf Club. Hosted by Founder Nigel Reeve from Marketing West, the awards started back in 2022 as a mission to honour and celebrate local businesses that have made significant contributions to the local economy, business innovation, and community spirit.
Since the awards began, Pro2col has proudly sponsored and supported the event. Whilst we are the leading file transfer specialists helping enterprise businesses around the globe with their file transfer solutions, we are also a company that is deeply committed to celebrating our local community. And this year, the awards were particularly special for Pro2col, as we not only continued our long-term award sponsorship, but also emerged as winners. But, before we reveal our win, let's talk about the two categories we had the pleasuring of sponsoring.
Pro2col Sponsors Award for Green/Eco Business and My Favourite Business
Each year, the awards have grown in stature, and this year was no exception, setting a new record with over 1200 entries received across the categories.
As part of our company ethos here at Pro2col, we are always striving to make a big difference through positive decision-making in every aspect of the business, from our customers, vendors and partners to doing good for the environment, the local community, charities and for our employees. Therefore, it was only fitting that we sponsored the Green/Eco Award for its third consecutive year. Glynn Henry, Pro2col's Sales and Marketing Director had the pleasure of presenting the award to the winner, Circular11, a recycling company who in their words are on a mission to transform waste-bound plastic into low-carbon fencing, furniture, and landscaping products for the construction and estates sectors.
Along with sponsoring the Green/Eco award, this was our first year sponsoring the award for My Favourite Business. A category that celebrates those local businesses that have won the hearts of the Christchurch community, and one that highlights the importance of customer satisfaction and community engagement. Values that are at the core of our own operational ethos at Pro2col. Congratulations to Bridge Health & Well-Being for winning this years Gold Award and to Matisse Beauty Clinic for securing the Silver Award.
Pro2col Win Gold for Best Place To Work
While our role as sponsors was a significant highlight, there was an even bigger reason for the Pro2col pack to celebrate. Being shortlisted for the Best Place to Work was already an honour, but being recognised and awarded as the gold winner of the category was an incredible achievement that speaks volumes about the culture we've cultivated at Pro2col.
We are committed to providing a working environment that not only instils pride in every member of our pack, but also ensures they feel valued and empowered, both in their job role and their personal lives. Our reference to the "pack" signifies resilience, tenacity, adaptability, and unity, much like the African Wild Dogs. In the same way they rely on teamwork, focus, communication, and their collective experience, we too draw strength from these pillars, creating a workplace that sees our team thrive. An environment where every member of the Pro2col pack feels valued, supported, and appreciated every single day they walk through our office doors.
Still on a high from only recently celebrating Pro2col's 20th birthday, Managing Director James Lewis, shares his thoughts on the award win:
"Wow, what an incredible honour. Congratulations team Pro2col, this one is for you! I couldn't be prouder of our team for winning the Christchurch Business Award for Best Place to Work. It's moments like these that remind me why I founded the business 20 years ago. I am so lucky that I get to work with such an amazing group of talented, positive people who make coming to work a joy every single day. Here's to many more years of success and a continued thriving workplace culture. Well done, team!"
A huge congratulations to all of the other winners and a very big thank you to Marketing West for organising such a fantastic event that celebrates and recognises the outstanding contributions of local businesses. Roll on next year!
