Over the last year we’ve been working with recent CFTP graduates to understand how they’ve found the course and to understand what they found most useful about CFTP. From their insightful feedback we’ve launched a three-tier approach to the CFTP course.
Discover the three tiers of CFTP:
1. Certified File Transfer Associate (CFTA)
CFTA is an entry-level course perfect for beginners who are interested in learning more about file transfer or for those who work as part of a team supporting or managing file transfer solutions. This course explores the core concepts of file transfer, FTP, FTPS, SFTP, SCP, at rest encryption and Public Key Infrastructure.
Learners can complete the CFTA course in around 2.5 hours, including the exam. It is a CPD accredited certification.
2. Certified File Transfer Professional (CFTP)
The original CFTP course has been revised and improved for 2024 and beyond. Designed for experienced professionals who wish to build upon their existing file transfer knowledge and for IT teams who work in architecting, managing or implementing file transfer technology. The CFTP level course includes all the learning modules from CFTA as well as sections on SSH Authentication, Ciphers, Key Exchange, Automated File Transfer Workflows, Cloud Storage and Accelerated File Transfer.
CFTP is a CPD accredited certification and can be completed in just over 4 hours, including the exam.
3. Certified File Transfer Expert (CFTE) 
The ultimate file transfer training course – new for 2024! Introducing an expert-level course for experienced file transfer engineers wishing to elevate their ability to the highest level. This challenging qualification includes all CFTA and CFTP modules, alongside segments on AS1, AS2, AS3, AS4, Directory Parsing, File Transfers with REST API, Compliance and Data Protection, and Secure Architecture.
CFTE qualification can be achieved in around 9 hours, including the exam. It is a CPD accredited course.
